Join the Mitchell-Linden Civic Association

As we celebrate the New Year, we also celebrate the accomplishments of the Mitchell-Linden Civic Association over the past two years. With the support of the community, we averted the construction of two high schools on Linden Place, brought to the forefront the serious flooding in our community, stirred action on the condition of the Path Mark Shopping Center, and assisted many of our co-ops in securing trees, free of charge, for their property. To continue this progress, we need your help and ideas. Presently, there are two vacancies on the Board of Directors. You can also volunteer as a member at Large to actively participate and assist in our many events. We look forward to a very active 2010, filled with many activities for children and adults. Please join us in our endeavors. On behalf of the entire Board of Directors, we extend our very best wishes for a great holiday season filled with good health and hope for a brighter future.

UPDATE: On April 30, 2009, Congressman Gary Ackerman addressed members of the Mitchell-Linden Civic Association at the quarterly meeting. The Congressman addressed the national financial situation and shared his thoughts on world affairs. He expressed his views on the Middle East, which he has visited numerous times as a member of the Foreign Relations Committee. He was welcomed by a packed room eager to hear about the happenings in Washington.
